Man dies in Greece due to snowfall

One person has died in Greece due to the snowfall over the past day, Greek media have reported on Thursday.

Specifically, the 76-year-old man died in the Rodopi, Komotini area in northern Greece, after the door of a building he was in was knocked over by the strong winds.

The fire services in Greece responded immediately, and took the man to the hospital.

The man is reported to have died on his way to the hospital in Komotini.
