CN Traveler recommends Athens for 2017
Athens is among the 17 top global destinations recommended by US magazine Conde Nast Traveler for 2017, topping the list among European destinations and ranking fifth overall behind Canada, the American Midwest, Cuba and Bermuda.
The magazine’s writers stress that Athens is not just a historic city but also a capital of modern arts, with big draws including the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center and the National Museum of Contemporary Art.
They add that Athens is bouncing back, having been overshadowed in the past by other European capitals and used as a stopover for islands such as Corfu.
