No heating oil allowance until February

Consumers entitled to a heating oil allowance will have to wait until February before they receive it, the Finance Ministry has said.

Officials have decided to change the eligibility criteria causing delays in benefit distribution.

A total of 105 million euros have been earmarked for the heating oil allowance this season. The sum is to be distributed among some 600,000 households.
