In a letter addressed to the head of the River Stavros Theodorakis, MP Katerina Markou announced that she is leaving the party and continuing as an independent MP.

In her statement, Markou explains that she is leaving the party over their difference of opinion regarding talks with other parties.

Mrs. Markou is the third MP to leave the party after the September 2015 elections, following Harris Theoharis and Jason Fotilas.
