Athens hosts international anti-racism and anti-fascism meeting
Representatives from anti-racist and anti-fascist movements from the UK, France, Germany, Turkey, Denmark, Holland, Switzerland, Catalonia and Cyprus are participating in an international meeting that is being held in Athens over the weekend.
The aim of the international meeting is to discuss and raise awareness over the threat of fascism and racism worldwide. A nationwide meeting of Greek groups will also take place during the weekend.
Aside from the activist groups, the meeting will see the participation of refugees, migrant groups, employee unions, artists unions, initiatives from the LGBTQI+ community, the Roma community and disability unions.
The meeting is scheduled to take place at the Basketball Stadium in the area of Rouf in Athens, on the 15th and 16th of October.
