Olymiakos suffer heavy loss in Euroleague basketball opener in Spain

Olympiakos started off its campaign in the Euroleague basketball league with an 83-65 defeat to Spanish team Real Madrid in Spain, Wednesday night. The reds were in striking distance until the 3rd end of the quarter, when a couple of technical fouls called against them extended the margin their opponents lead. In the final period Real extended their lead, despite a late comeback attempt by the Greek champs.
