According to data released by the Greek Tourist Organisation (SETE), international arrivals to Greek airports “soared” in September, recording a 15% rise compared to last year. The figures, collected each month by SETE Intelligence, showed that the rise in arrivals was up by approximately 250 thousand foreign tourists, while the increase on a 9-monthly basis stands at +9% for air flight arrivals, or 11.5 million people. It should be noted that road arrivals managed to offset a fall in the previous months, by a 14% rise in September (+200 thousand).
