The Cyber Crimes Unit of the Greek police is investigating a 35-year-old man on charges of peddling child pornography over the internet, authorities said on Friday.

After an investigation, authorities followed a digital trail leading to the suspect’s home in Attica. An Athens prosecutor issued a warrant lifting confidentiality on communications which allowed police to conduct a search of his home and confiscate a computer hard drive and a laptop for further investigation.

The case file is expected to be submitted to a prosecutor.
