Koumoutsakos: “The television license auction is shoddy”
The spokesperson for New Democracy Giorgos Koumoutsakos was highly critical of the procedures followed in the television license auction.
In an appearance on Skai, Mr. Koumoutsakos argued that the Council of State has yet to issue a verdict on the abolition of the National Council for Radio and Television (ESR).
According to the New Democracy spokesperson the government is aiming to manipulate the media and repeated his party’s intention to abolish the existing legislation.
Mr. Koumoutsakos further clarified that New Democracy will not take back the licenses that are currently auctioned, but rather it will “open up the competition” to support the free market.
