About 150,000 pensioners will see their supplementary pensions slashed by up to 38% when they are paid out on Friday.

According to a report in Ta Nea, the average cut in supplementary pensions will be about 60 to 70 euros, however in some cases the reduction may be up to 140 euros.

Of the 1.23 supplementary pensions that are being paid out, about 67,000 have already been reduced, with the additional 150,000 pensions to be reduced on Friday. A third wave of such cuts will take place in October.
