The Ministry of Finance has urged consumers to demand receipts when making purchases, even when usingcredit or debit cards.

In a statement, the Ministry explains that the slip printed out by POS machines are not enough for tax purposes and businesses are obliged to issue a normal receipt as well.

Additionally the Ministry underlines that if a business refuses to issue a receipt, then the customer is legally allowed to not make any payment for the goods and services.
