Three injured in downtown Athens shooting
Three people have been seriously injured in a shooting on Zinonos Street, near Athens’s central Omonia Square, on Wednesday afternoon, police reported.
According to preliminary reports, the assailant, believed to be a foreign national, opened fire after getting into argument with two Greeks, hitting them as well as a passerby.
The assailant managed to flee the scene of the incident and is at large.
