Staff of beleaguered Marinopoulos supermarket chain protest in Athens
Employees of the Marinopoulos supermarket chain on Wednesday staged a protest outside the offices of the Labor Ministry in Athens, demanding job security, following the decision by the chain to file for bankruptcy.
The employees were to stage a work stoppage from noon on Wednesday as part of their protest.
Members of trade unions from across Attica joined in the protest on Wednesday.
