49-year-old dies in Larnaca car crash
A man has died in a car accident on the Larnaca-Famagusta motorway, police said on Friday.
According to the police Savvas Christophorou, 49, was driving on the road approximately 8:50 pm when he lost control of his vehicle making a right turn.
The accident occurred near the British Bases in Dhekelia, police reported.
Christophorou had not been wearing his seat belt, police have said, resulting in the man being thrown from his vehicle.
Police at the British Bases are investigating the cause of the man’s accident.
