The Chairman of Board of the Athens International Airport Panagiotis Roumeliotis announced his resignation on Friday, in order to focus on the negotiations to include Greece in the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB).

Mr. Roumeliotis recently visited China and attended the first annual meeting of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, where he campaigned for Greece to become a full member. Greece’s application will be discussed in September.

A total of 57 countries participate in the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, including 14 European Union member-states.
