Mesologi: Family rescued after driving car into the sea

A couple and their child were rescued by the Coast Guard in time, after driving their car off the port of Mesologi into the sea.

Luckily for the family, a group of fishermen noticed the car driving into the sea and in the fishing shelter and immediately contacted the Coast Guard.

After rescued, the 50-year-old man, 45-year-old woman and the child were taken to the local hospital, where they were found to be in good health.

The local coast guard authorities have launched an investigation to determine what caused the car to fall into the sea.
