Two young Chinese women killed in Rhodes crash
Two young women, aged 20 and 25, were killed while trying to cross a busy road in Asgrouros leading to Rhodes’s resort town of Lindos on Saturday.
The young women were identified as Chinese nationals working in a store in the area. They had just come off work at around 9.30 p.m. and were crossing the road when they were hit by an oncoming car.
One of the victims died at the scene of the accident, while the other succumbed to her injuries later in hospital.
Police on the southeastern Aegean island on Sunday were investigating the incident. It was not clear whether the driver of the vehicle stopped or fled the scene.
