Nine arrested for robberies in Thessaloniki prefecture

Nine men have been arrested in connection to a string of robberies in homes, factories and warehouses, among others, in the prefecture of Thessaloniki, authorities announced on Thursday.

The gang, which reportedly committed 18 robberies from November 2015 to May 2016, allegedly stole tools, electric appliances and metal objects. The illegal activities were carried out in the areas of Liti, Drymos, Melissochori and Langadas.

The suspects, all Bulgarian nationals, were expected to face a prosecutor.
