Man accused of luring, molesting young girls in Athens
An Athens magistrate on Tuesday was due to question a 42-year-old man who was arrested after allegedly molesting three young girls in downtown Athens.
The suspect, a Bangladeshi national, was spotted by police outside an apartment parking garage in Aghios Penteleimonas, talking to three girls aged between 7 and 9. When officers approached to question him, he allegedly ran off but was stopped and arrested.
Investigators claim they heard evidence that the 42-year-old had promised the girls a motorcycle ride if they followed him to the garage. There, they said, he performed sexual acts on them.
The suspect is also accused of luring another three girls to his home last week and molesting them.
