Independent experts brought in to investigate Publisher’s death
Alexis Kougias, the lawyer representing the family of Panagiotis Mavrikos who was burned to death in his car in northern Athens, last week, said that independent experts will be carrying out their own inspection of the vehicle and police findings on behalf of the businessman’s relatives.
The experts hired by Mavrikos’s family are due to examine today the burnt wreckage of the SUV the publisher was driving last week when it caught fire on the Attiki Odos highway.
Authorities have so far not given any details on how the blaze started. Mavrikos had recently been accused of involvement in a blackmail ring but denied the charges.
