The shocking images brought to light show student Vangelis Giakoumakis, aged 20, who was pushed by bullies to take his own life, being tortured by his fellow students at the Dairy School at Ioannina.

The photos published by Eleftheros Typos newspaper are taken from a video showing the eight young men accused of causing grievous bodily harm to Giakoumakis torturing him.

The video lasts two minutes and the incident seems to take place in the room of Giakoumakis at Dairy School. The 20-year-old is heard begging them to leave him alone, while the bullies continue torturing him and laughing at him.

Eventually one of them says “That’s enough. Let’s leave him now” and shortly after they get out of his room.

This footage indicates that the 20-year-old was constantly being bullied. According to the newspaper, a student gave this video to an employee of the Dairy School who then handed it over to the police.
