A police officer of the motorcycle-riding DIAS squad was believed to be one of the three suspects who attacked hairstylist Panos Kallitsis outside his home in the area of Lycabettus, central Athens, in January.

The suspects ambushed the 41-year-old victim and shot him in the chest and legs as he entered the garage area with his car. Kallitsis was accompanied by his wife at the time of the incident.

According to reports, the hairstylist was carrying a bag with cash which the suspects did not remove.
