ELSTAT: Unemployment rate drops to 24.2% in February 2016
The Greek statistics authority ELSTAT has published its latest seasonally adjusted figures on unemployment for February 2016.
According to ELSTAT, the rate of unemployment in February 2016 was 24.2%, down from 24.4% in January 2016 and 25.8% in February 2015.
In greater detail, the number of employed grew by 86,015 compared to February 2015 (+2.4%) and by 10,692 compared to January 2016 (+0.3%), for a total of 3,625,262.
Likewise, the number of unemployed decreased by 70,220 (-5.7%) compared to February 2015 and by 7,524 compared to January 2016 (-0.6%) for a total of 1,158,731.
