Gov’t ‘will not be terrorized’ minister says after firebomb attack
Justice Minister Nikos Paraskevopoulos on Wednesday condemned a firebomb attack by unidentified assailants on his former office at Thessaloniki’s Aristotle University, which caused damage but no injuries.
“The government will not be terrorized,” Paraskevopoulos, who is a professor of law, said in a statement.
“The efforts by judicial authorities to create safe and humane prisons aimed at the social reintegration of inmates will continue,” he said.
Anti-establishment protesters have railed against recent searches of the cells of jailed anarchists.
