European Commission says no Eurogroup meeting decided for Thursday
European Commission spokesperson Annika Breidthadt said a Eurrogroup meeting on Thursday had yet to bee set and would depend on the progress of talks between Greece and the institutions, Monday. During the press briefing, Monday, the EC spokesperson stressed that if ‘sufficient progress was made an extra ordinary Eurogroup meeting would be held’. On the issue of what the ‘preventive measures’ would be and how they would be implemented she responded that the mechanism would have to act as a ‘safety switch’ for the creditors, adding that it was too soon to provide any details on the plan.
