Turkish fighter jets violate Greek air space 15 times
Twelve Turkish fighter jets violated Greek national air space in the northeast, central and southeastern Aegean yesterday, military authorities said.
According to the Hellenic National Defense General Staff (GEETHA), the Turkish military aircraft violated Greek air space 15 times and entered the Athens Flight Information Region (FIR) 11 times.
All the jets, of which four were armed, were intercepted and chased off by Greek aircraft in accordance with international rules of engagement, GEETHA said, adding there were no mock dog fights.
