Police arrest suspect for armed holdup in Athens
Police in Athens have arrested a 38-year-old man who is believed to have committed at least four armed robberies in the western Haidari suburb.
The suspect’s arrest came after a holdup at a kiosk, with investigators linking the 38-year-old to similar incidents over the past few months at other businesses such as petrol stations and a hotel, which were robbed by a man wielding a gun and then fleeing from the scene on a motorcycle.
Police are also investigating the suspect’s past to ascertain whether he is linked to other crimes.
