Thomsen & Velculescu update IMF on negotiations with Greece
The Executive Board of the IMF has been updated by Poul Thomsen and Delia Velculescu on the ongoing negotiations with Greece, ahead of the Spring Meetings scheduled for this weekend.
According to reports, Mr. Thomsen reported to the board that the pension system reform and management on non-performing loans are the major issues that need to be addressed.
The Greek Minister of Finance Euclid Tsakalotos is expected to depart for Washington D.C. on Thursday to attend the IMF’s Spring Meetings.
A report in Ta Nea, Mr. Tsakalotos will meet with the IMF’s general manage rChristine Lagarde, the head of the ECB Mario Draghi, the Eurogroup chief Jeroen Dijsselbloem and US Secretary of the Treasury Jack Lew.
