Aunt reportedly confesses to killing 4-year-old niece
The 45-year-old aunt of a 4-year-old girl found dead in Megara, west of Athens, on Wednesday, allegedly confessed to killing the child, police sources said on Thursday.
According to police reports, the victim was strangled to death, while the motive behind the manslaughter had not been determined.
The 4-year-old’s parents are believed to be drug addicts, while reports suggested that requests by the 45-year-old to gain custody of the child had been denied by her sister, the child’s mother.
