EZ source: Pending agreement depends on Greek govt
Eurozone sources in Brussels on Friday evening underlined the need for a “comprehensive package of measures and reforms” within the next few days by the Greek government, in order to achieve a now delayed first review of the Greek program.
According to reports, the source said decisions are now in the hands of the Greek government, “either there will be a comprehensive package of reforms by Sunday evening or not,” the state-run news agency in Athens reported.
The same source said that if an agreement is achieved in the next few days then the upcoming loan installment can be disbursed to the Greek government in early June.
he report comes as Eurogroup president Jeroen Dijsselbloem told reporters in the Hague on Friday that there’s no deadline for Greek review, while merely adding that he hopes the review will be concluded soon. He also admitted that Greece is called on to implement very difficult measures.
