Media black out on Thursday as journalists participate in ADEDY strike
The journalist federation ESIEA has announced that it supports Thursday’s 24-hour strike called by ADEDY and has called its members to participate in a rally at 11am on Klafthmonos Square.
ADEDY, the country’s largest public sector union, called the 24-hour strike in order to protest the controversial pension system reform.
According to official statements, the media strike in Greece will come into effect at 6am Thursday until 6am on Friday. Both private and public sector media will be affected by the strike.
