Powerful blast rocks Nafplio, no injuries reported
A powerful blast rocked the northern Peloponnesian town of Nafplio around noon on Tuesday, causing damage to a building but no injuries, Skai has reported.
The explosion in an office block on Asklipiou Avenue may have been caused by a makeshift bomb, authorities said, adding that it blasted through the door of an office on the building’s first floor.
The office, according to reports, belongs to an accountant who is responsible for running the finances of a food program organized by a local church, though it was not clear whether her business was the intended target.
The area has been secured as experts examine the scene to ascertain the cause of the blast.
