Refugees dive in polluted Piraeus waters to bathe
It has come to light that several refugees and illegal immigrants have been diving into the sea at the Piraeus port, despite warnings from Greek port authorities that the waters are unsuitable for swimming due to high levels of wastage and pollution.
As the refugees say they are jumping into the waters because they have not a bath in days. It is becoming increasingly difficult police over the refugees and immigrants gathering at the port, as their numbers are rising exponentially.
The danger of them contacting serious diseases does not deter them from diving in for a quick bath.
