Vandals attack Athens metro station
Vandals destroyed ticket machines at Monastiraki metro station in central Athens on Saturday night, a day after an identical raid on nearby Keramikos station.
According to authorities, a group of around 20 people with sledgehammers smashed machinery in a raid at around 11 p.m. They also daubed graffiti on the walls.
Also on Saturday night, five Molotov cocktails were thrown at riot police near PASOK’s headquarters in the city center.
There were no injuries or arrests in either incident.
