The River’s three-day conference begins on Friday

The three-day conference of opposition party The River is set to begin on Friday at the Exhibition Center in Peristreri.

On Saturday, the leaders of New Democracy Kyriakos Mitsotakis and the Democratic Alignment Fofi Gennimata will each deliver a speech, at the invitation of Stavros Theodorakis.

The party’s youth section has also arranged a debate on the refugee crisis and unemployment in Greece with Gianni Pittella and Guy Verhofstadt, which will be moderated by journalist Xenia Kounalaki.

Finally, conference-goers will also decide upon a new party leader and elect new party officers on Sunday. The new leader will deliver a speech at the conference’s closing ceremony.
