Stournaras predicts ‘slight recovery’ in second half of 2016
The Governor of the Bank of Greece Yannis Stournaras estimated that the Greek economy would recover slightly in the second half of the year.
In order for this to happen though, the first review of the Greek bailout program must conclude on time and the necessary reforms have to be implemented.
“This demands, among others, the completion of the pension system reform and streamlining income taxation in agriculture” he further explained.Mr. Stournaras made the announcement at the bank’s shareholder meeting.
