Scuffles between Belgian and Greek football fans in Gazi

A group of Anderlecht supporters from Belgium clashed with a group Greeks at a bar in the downtown area of Gazi, late on Wednesday evening.

Four Belgian nationals were injured in the altercation, with the police detaining 35 suspects, 6 of whom (also Belgians) were later arrested.

The Belgian football fans were in Athens for Thursday’s game against Olympiacos for the Europa League.
