Police seize thousands in fraudulent bills in Nicosia home
Police have seized a large amount of fraudulent bills at a home in the Dali area of Nicosia, they told Sigma TV on Wednesday.
Specifically, authorities seized 3,800 fraudulent euros that were found at the home of a Romanian couple.
Police arrested the couple after an investigation.
The majority of the bills that were seized were 20 euros, the police said.
The police have not released more details on the case, as they are still investigating, Sigma TV reported.
Cyprus’ Central Bank has said it will help shed light on the case, along with other services.
