Sfakianakis to be appointed Cyber Crime Division supervisor

After the uproar that was caused by his dismissal, Major General Manolis Sfakianakis will be reappointed as assistant to Chief of Staff Zacharoula Tsirigoti and will be tasked with supervising the Cyber Crime Division.

Police sources explained that since Mr. Sfakianakis has risen to the rank of Major General, it was realistically only a matter of time for him to be appointed elsewhere, rather than remain a director. After all, add the police sources, an officer of his stature must gain experience from other positions within the force.
