Police union demonstrates over pension system reform outside Maximos Mansion
The police officer union protested against the controversial pension system reform, outside the Prime Minister’s office at Maximos Mansion early on Friday morning.
Union president Grigoris Gerakarakos told Mega Channel that the protesters were in uniform and argued that “the Greek Police is part of the people and will fight on the side of the people”.
The protesters were gently repelled by the colleagues who are tasked with security. An additional demonstration, with more unions, has been arranged for 5pm outside the Old Parliament.
