New Democracy accuses government of “attempting to polarize”
The spokesperson for New Democracy Giorgos Koumoutsakos accused the coalition government of “attempting to polarize, to divide and to fanaticize”.
According to the ND spokesperson, the government is circulating conspiracy theories regarding the country’s destabilization, as “the impasses it created are peaking”.
Regarding the refugee crisis, Mr. Koumoutsakos explained that his party’s stance is clear, namely that the Aegean must not become an endless grave, but at the same time Greece cannot become an endless refugee and migrant camp, underlining that the problem is international.
Mr. Koumoutsakos added that the Prime Minister’s goal in London must be to highlight the extent of the problem and how Europe and Turkey must assume their share of the responsibilities.
