Athens Mayor symbolically signs first same-sex civil partnerships
The Mayor of Athens Giorgos Kaminis announced that “today is an important day for human rights” as he symbolically singed the first civil partnership of a same-sex couple at noon on Monday.
In total Mr. Kaminis signed five civil partnerships on Monday, the first since the Parliament in Athens introduced the relevant legislation earlier in 2015.
