Hatzidakis, Georgiadis appointed ND vice presidents
Former ministers Costis Hatzidakis and Adonis Georgiadis have been appointed New Democracy vice presidents following the election of Kyriakos Mitsotakis at the helm of Greece’s main opposition party earlier this month.
Mitsotakis, a former minister of administrative reform, has pledged to realign ND towards the political center. But he has also pledged to work with cadres of the party’s nationalist right-wing faction that backed his campaign.
On Tuesday, the new conservative leader is expected to meet with Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and Archbishop Ieronymos, the head of the Church of Greece.
