Mitsotakis meets with former party’s leader Karamanlis
New Democracy (ND) newly elected leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis started his meetings with party members in an effort to define his stance on issues to be tabled in Parliament.
Speaking to journalists after meeting former ND leader Kostas Karamanlis, Mr. Mitsotakis said that they had a great meeting, while asked on whether they talked about “party’s unity and support” implying his fellow candidate Vangelis Meimarakis, he refused to answer.
Mr. Mitsotakis will also meet with former ND leader Antonis Samaras at 1.30pm.
Earlier, Mr. Mitsotakis met with party parliamentary spokesman Yiannis Vroutsis, coordinator of the Standing Committee on Social Affairs Nikos Panagiotopoulos and the head of Standing Committee on Labour, Social Security Affairs Vassilis Economou.
Social policy issues and social security reforms dominated the meeting.
