Farming sector preparing from strike actions next week

Farmers from Thessaly are preparing to respond to the government policies of further cuts and increasing taxes with a series of actions starting next week, following a meeting of the Larissa federation of farming associations. (EOASNL).

As such, it was decided for farmers to congregate and demonstrate in central squares on Friday, 15th of January. The farmers have not ruled out the possibility of setting up road blocks at a later point, provided they coordinate with out federations and bodies.

A number of farming unions, from the primary sector, have also decided gather in Thessaloniki on the 14th of January to determine their actions and coordinate their efforts.
