Greek industrial production up 1.8 pct in Nov
Greek industrial production index grew 1.8 pct in November, with manufacturing production rising 1.1 pct in the month, Hellenic Statistical Authority said on Friday.
The statistics service, in a monthly report, said the industrial production index grew 1.8 pct in November 2015, compared with the same month in 2014 and attributed this development to an 1.3 pct decline in mining production, an 1.1 pct increase in manufacturing production (beverage production grew 16.4 pct, wood production was up 13.7 pct, chemicals rose 11.1 pct, computers, electronics and optics grew 26 pct and electrical equipment rose 10.4 pct). Electricity production rose 5.5 pct and water production increased by 1.0 pct.
The average industrial production index grew 0.1 pct in the January-November period, compared with the same period in 2014, while the seasonally-adjusted index grew 3.2 pct in November from October 2015.
