Central Union of Chambers head opposes to higher social security contributions
The president of the Central Union of Chambers Konstantinos Mihalos on Friday said that he does not agree with the increase in social security contributions adding that the entire market disagrees with it.
“The Chambers community and the business community are opposed to the increase in employer contributions, like any other measure that increases business costs and thus impairs their competitiveness and by extension the competitiveness of the Greek economy. It should be clear that the social security issue cannot be solved with higher contributions, but it needs to be accompanied by a new development programme and reforms in the labour market,” he added.
