Amanatidis: EU recognises Greece’s efforts on the refugees issue
Greece is dealing successfully with the refugee crisis, Deputy Foreign Minister Yiannis Amanatidis on Friday said in an interview with Praktorio 104.9 FM.
He also expressed optimism that the European Union and the institutions will recognise the efforts being made.
However, he noted that more money need to be given to Greece for dealing with the refugee crisis and the disbursement needs to be done immediately. “After Greece has done with the construction of the hot spots in January, it will have met the greatest part of its commitments,” he underlined.
“I think that the efforts being made are recognised by the European Union and therefore the institutions and the competent bodies will show in practice their contribution,” he added.
