Over 45,000 to be recruited into the public sector in 2016
A total of 45,737 people will be recruited into the public sector in 2016, with 21,161 being recruited into permanent positions and the other 24,576 being recruited on a seasonal basis. A total of 3,261 will be recruited within the first few months of the year.
The seasonal employees will mostly be appointed to municipal services, nurseries, museums, hospitals, public utilities and schools. The full-time employees will cover spots in ministries, the coast guard, local government, schools and universities.
Finally a further 50,000 will be recruited in 2016 as part of the “Community Service” program.
