Government council on social policy to convene on Tuesday
The government council on social policy will convene on Tuesday to discuss the imminent social security and pension reforms.
Among the issues to be discussed are the national pension, higher social contributions, and the unification of social security funds.
Regarding the social security contributions, the government has proposed increasing them, but the institutions seem to oppose to the idea. However, the imposition of a tax on banking transactions over 1,000 euros has been set again on the table.
